St. Louis, MO - We're looking for an experienced interior designer with commercial and residential design experience. . This person will be responsible for creating interior environments that enhance organizational performance and achieve the client's business objectives utilizing best practices, and creative design solutions. Additionally, candidate will develop innovative interior architectural design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe, and reflects the client’s goals and are within project budget and schedule.
Duties
The designer will work on a variety of medium to large scale projects
Will plan and program layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates all other discipline elements into unified design for client review and approval
May prepare client project presentations studies, and reports
Will utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans
This position may have occasional travel to construction sites
Interacts with all levels of management internally and with external personnel and clients.
Demonstrated proficiency in selecting and specifying furniture, finishes and equipment (FF&E) and utilizing database programs to document it
Ability to effectively coordinate with internal interior, architectural and engineering team members is required
Education / Skills Required
BA/BS or Bachelors in Interior Design, Architecture or related field is preferred, but NOT necessary.
NCIDQ/CID and LEED certification is preferred, but NOT necessary
Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs, and Microsoft Office suite is preferred
Strong organizational, communications (both verbal and written) skills, and leadership abilities is required
