BAS Sales Engineer

St. Louis, MO - BAS Sales Engineer with demonstrated success to join a genuinely customer-focused organization. You will complement our successful and growing St. Louis team by developing assigned accounts and acquiring new clients. This person will be required to cultivate and close commercial building automation projects and associated service opportunities with existing and new customers in various vertical markets.

Job Duties:

  • Cultivate and close commercial building automation projects and associated service opportunities with existing and new customers in various vertical markets.

  • Build partnering relationships with decision-makers such as owners, general contractors, engineers, and contractors by appropriately qualifying customer and project needs with probing questions to understand overall project goals.

  • Create market awareness for the company through networking, cold calling, lunch and learns, and attendance at local trade association meetings.

  • Frequently create competitive, high quality, and timely estimates and proposals.

  • Work with operations personnel to execute growth, development, sales, and marketing of all solutions offered by the company.

  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts.

Experience:

  • 2 or more years of HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs.

  • 2 or more years of sales experience in Building Automation Systems.

  • University or Technical College course work in mechanical, electrical, computer science, IT, or HVAC is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of the sales process in construction contracting.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.

  • A proficient understanding of the principles and best practices in customer service.

  • Excellent team and communication skills.

  • An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.

  • An ability to influence across a broader organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $150,000+ per year
